RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Yeah for the third book in the Highlander series from Janet Chapman! I must admit after reading the first two books, I was anxiously awaiting WEDDING THE HIGHLANDER. I am so glad I wasn't disappointed! It's steamy, funny, touching, and just plain good.

Michael McBain, a twelve-toed Scotland warrior was transported through time to the present, twelve years ago. Since that time he has lost two loves, gained a son, and runs a Christmas tree farm. No longer interested in love he is content to raise his son in the old Scottish traditions and make a living in the wilds of Maine.

Enter Dr Elizabeth Hart, Libby for short. Libby runs away from her hectic life as a surgeon in California when she miraculously heals two patients, simply by willing them to be healed! Afraid of what is happening to her, she answers and ad for a renter in Pine Creek, Maine. Unbeknownst to Libby, she is about to encounter more magic than she can handle.

What a fantastic book! Michael is very sexy, despite having twelve toes, and Libby is quite funny as a small but very fiery heroine. The chemistry between the two is dynamite and I couldn't wait for the sex scenes! Add in Michael's gifted son Robbie with his unusual pet, a grumpy old wizard, and some supporting (wisecracking) characters from the first two books and you have a winner.
