Pirate Next Door by Jennifer Ashley

What is a proper English lady to do when a pirate moves next door? Add the newly titled viscount to her list of possible suitors? Take his wildly eccentric young daughter under her wing? Let the outlandish rogue kiss her with wild abandon? As everyday etiquette offers no guidance, Alexandra Alastair simply sets aside her tea and follows her instincts—whether that involves rescuing her new neighbor from hanging, fending off pirate hunters, plotting against aristocratic spies, or succumbing to a little passionate plundering. Forget propriety! No challenge is too great and no pleasure too wicked, for Grayson Finley promises the adventure of a lifetime.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: RR@H Top Pick

When I first picked up this book, THE PIRATE NEXT DOOR, I figured that I was in for a relaxing, fun read that I could finish in a couple of days...I was so wrong! This book was so entertaining that I finished it in just a couple of hours!

The opening scene in the book finds Alexandra saving her new next door neighbor and recently titled Viscount, Grayson Finley, from being hanged in his own home by his former best friend, James Admore, a true-blue pirate!

From the suspenseful intrigue of the love/hate relationship of our hero, Grayson, with his lifelong best friend-turned-enemy, James, to the hilarious and touching antics of Grayson's daughter Maggie, the story starts out at a full run and doesn't slow down until the last page. You will laugh at the playful banter between Alexandra and Grayson, root for our hero, Grayson, and his mortal struggle with his nemesis, James, and be totally swept away at the exciting turn of events that make for a tantalizing ending.

All in all, this read is definitely worth your time....a keeper!
