The title is what had me reaching for the book; I just love a cowboy. <BG> What kept me reading into the small hours of the morning is great writing and bold sexual language, topped with luscious love scenes, the hottest hero, and a heroine that picks herself up - not once, but twice - to make the best of what life throws at her.

Luke McRae is a single father struggling to raise two teenage daughters and a fetal alcoholic son, while keeping his large family ranch going. He likes women, loves sex, but never plans to let another woman control his emotions or life. Dahlia Montgomery is the widow of a dirty, rotten, cheating husband who left her bankrupt and emotionally drained, even two-and-a-half years after his sudden death. Put these two survivors together, with up-against-the-wall hot sex, lots of secondary characters to toss a few rocks in their path to a HEA ending, and you've got a keeper...a book to reread a few times a year.

THE LOVE OF A COWBOY is the debut book for Anna Jeffrey, but I hope she has many, many more in her future.
