Lover's Leap by Emily March
Twenty years ago the town bad boy, Cam Murphy, left Eternity Springs in handcuffs, riding in the back of a sheriff’s van . . . and breaking young Sarah Reese’s heart. The defiant teenager vowed never to return.

In Australia, Cam makes a new beginning. He builds a successful business and suffers few regrets until Sarah—and their daughter—walk into his life, and then immediately run away. Realizing it’s time to right yesterday’s wrongs, he follows Sarah home to Colorado—and turns her world upside down.

Cam wants to know his daughter. He needs to prove to Sarah, the town, and himself that he’s changed. Will the residents of Eternity Springs offer forgiveness—and will Sarah have the courage to trust this man who is asking for a second chance?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:Top Pick

LOVER'S LEAP is the fourth book in Emily March's Eternity Springs Series. I loved the first three books, but I think I love this one even more—for so many reasons. First of all, Ms. March creates characters who are so human they are almost recognizable. Friends, neighbors, families...the lives of these characters could be anyone any reader might know. Also, the settings she creates are vivid and nearly become characters in their own right. Whether it's in gorgeous Australia, snorkeling, or on a boat, or back in the States in a fabulous little town, the places seem completely real. And, perhaps most important, the writing is so tight and solid, the scenes—even the emotionally difficult ones—practically sing. Truly, I can't think of one single, solitary thing about any of the books in this series that isn't stellar.

This new book is all about families. Family lost, family found and family deep, complicated and problematic—as well as joyful, loving and worth every bit of effort expended—is the core of Cam and Sarah's story. And while Cam and Sarah, who separated, then collided, then reconnected, are the romantic couple, their story is more evolved than a simple romance. Cam's family history affects his present situation, which is something he works to overcome. Sarah's dealing with both sides of a coin, juggling more than one life and showing that women really can be so resilient and strong. And while the family issues in their love story are complicated, their love isn't. It may be overlooked, put aside and neglected, but when they reunite, all bets are off.

I love this book. LOVER'S LEAP is enchanting, heartwarming and realistic. Excellent!
