Woodrose Mountain by RaeAnne Thayne
Evie Blanchard was at the top of her field in the city of angels. But when an emotional year forces her to walk away from her job as a physical therapist, she moves from Los Angeles to Hope's Crossing seeking a quieter life. So the last thing she needs is to get involved with the handsome, arrogant Brodie Thorne and his injured daughter, Taryn.

A self-made man and single dad, Brodie will do anything to get Taryn the rehabilitation she needs…even if it means convincing Evie to move in with them. And despite her vow to keep an emotional distance, Evie can't help but be moved by Taryn's spirit, or Brodie's determination to win her help—and her heart. With laughter, courage and more than a little help from the kindhearted people of Hope's Crossing, Taryn may get the healing she deserves—and Evie and Brodie might just find a love they never knew could exist.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

I truly, truly, love RaeAnne Thayne's style of writing.  Her books are quick reads, with great plots and wonderful relationships that really touch the heart and leave me with a smile on my face.

I love the town of Hope's Crossing and all of the people that live there.  Having read BLACKBERRY SUMMER, I was so happy to visit my old friends and the bead store, and all of the drama surrounding the car accident.  What better way to get back to Hope's Crossing than to start with Brodie and Evie.

I was so excited for this story.  The angst and emotion that I felt along with these characters was so real to me.  I loved the growth and development that happened throughout the story.  I felt for everyone involved, even the boy who caused Taryn's accident.  I understood Brodie's stubbornness and Evie's hurt, and I couldn't wait for them to finally be happy. Following the journey to put all the hurts aside, learning to move forward and leave the past behind, was wonderful.

In fine Rae Anne Thayne style, WOODROSE MOUNTAIN is not one to be missed.  What a wonderful addition to my bookshelves.  Hope's Crossing is fast becoming one of my favorite places to visit!
