Rapture Untamed by Pamela Clare

They are called Feral Warriors—an elite band of immortals who can change shape at will. Sworn to rid the world of evil, consumed by sorcery and seduction, their wild natures are primed for release . . .

The most combative—and tormented—of all the Ferals, Jag is a predator who hunts alone—until daemons terrorize the human population. To stop them, he partners with Olivia, a flame-haired Therian temptress as strong as she is beautiful. But Olivia is no ordinary immortal. The survivor of a vicious supernatural attack, she possesses a deadly and forbidden skill—one that must remain hidden, especially from the powerful Feral Warriors.

As Jag and Olivia's sensual dance of dominance and seduction gets wilder and hotter, a dark force sets its sights on Olivia, threatening to destroy everything she has vowed to protect. And the only one who can save her soul is the arrogant jaguar shifter she lusts for but dares not love.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

With a steamy (and sometimes violent) romance, non-stop action, demons, witches, and shapeshifters, RAPTURE UNTAMED is a wild ride. From the beginning, it pulls no punches and brings out a host of strange creatures, including the hero and heroine.

The mystery and chaos within the pages make this one a fast-paced and action-packed read. I love the scenery and all of the unique paranormal elements it meshes together. The book is good simply because of its strange use of occult themes. But, you should know that this is also a read with a love story that is on the raunchy side, complete with crass language and knock-down, drag-out, passionate fights. Some might call it hot, but my word for it would be dirty.

One last thing worth mentioning: as RAPTURE UNTAMED is my introduction into the world of the Feral Warriors, there are times I get the distinct feeling I am missing something. Although the author gives bits and pieces of past events, I still know there is more to the cast than I am getting from this book. I am not saying the series must be read in sequence (in order to find this one enjoyable), but I suspect I may have liked it better had I met some of the players previously. Either way, I am glad to be reading the series now.
