TONY IS BACK

Former Mafia hit man Tony Giodone has been through a lot in the past two years. First, in Hunter's Moon—he's turned into a werewolf with a human mate and a pack leader tougher than his old Mob boss. And he's developed a powerful psychic ability—he can see into the past through other people's memories.

Being mated with a human is difficult in more ways than one. Tony and Sue's relationship is full of struggle. Adding to Tony's trouble is an new problem with some old mobster "friend"... who also happen to be a cabal of Sazi mass murderers trying to extinguish the human race.

Only one man might be able to help Tony and the Sazi stop the cabal: Ahmad, the leader of the snakes. He and Tony have a deeper psychic connection than Tony has with anyone else—even his mate! Now Tony is along for the psychic ride as the crown prince of an ancient empire is faced with his deadliest enemy: a woman he once loved, whom he was forced to betray... one who may now betray Ahmad, Tony, and all of humanity.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

It is always nice to visit characters that have been nothing but good to me. I am so glad that COLD MOON RISING offers me the opportunity to do just that, with my favorite hit-man werewolf and his mate, Tony and Sue. I wish they had a better story to greet me with, but it is interesting enough that I won't knock it too bad!

I am not a fan of the big, motion picture-style plot COLD MOON RISING has. I like the ride getting there, with all of its strange side angles, visions, a sacred book, queen eggs and kidnapped girls. But how and where they culminate in the end, is silly. Sorry, but it is.

Even though this is probably my least favorite Sazi novel, I still like it. There is most certainly more to come, especially with Sue and her "transformation," and I anxiously await it. I just hope the characters are given a better place to shine.
