RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

I just have to say that I love, love, love this book! Being an avid animal lover, what more would I love to read about than a hot shapeshifter and his "witch" of a healer who just so happens to be able to talk to animals?

When Leo is literally dropped on Tisana's doorstep by her inconsiderate ex-lover, the last thing she wants is an intrusion on her nice, quiet, solitary life. But, an intrusion is what she has gotten, so she figures she might as well make the best of it and heal her charge. She has no idea what to expect from her cat-like new companion, but she knows it's going to be something big when just about from the first minute that she touches him, she feels a connection of sorts with this man.

Leo is the best of the best heroes. He is good looking, stable, loyal... and knows how to pleasure a lady! When he wakes up to find a beautiful Tisana tending to him, he cannot help but get... err... excited about the attention. But, what he doesn't count on is that he is going to be getting a lot more than attention from Tisana. The problem is this—he is a slave and can never be hers, so their love is doomed from the very beginning... or is it? Because, the ex-lover who so unceremoniously dumped Leo on Tisana's doorstep those many weeks ago is back, and he is looking for a favor. Can Tisana get what she wants while helping out an old friend?

WARRIOR is beautifully written. Cheryl Brooks has a great voice and the story flowed nicely and smoothly from start to finish. The lead characters have wonderful depth and great characteristics, and the secondaries (mainly the animals) had me rolling—they are so great! Leo and Tisana make my blood pressure rise, not to mention that they make me proud to love romance novels!
