721 PARK AVENUE: Penthouse A

SCANDAL: Married for life?

A sexy billionaire husband, a Park Avenue penthouse, money to burn. Elizabeth Wellington had it all, right?

But Reed was married to his corporation and she spent evenings alone—with her ovulation charts. Her husband still set her body on fire, but Reed was keeping secrets, ones serious enough to rock their life together. Then fate brought them an unexpected bundle of joy. They finally had the baby they'd always wanted… but had it arrived soon enough?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

I have read other books written by Barbara Dunlop and enjoyed them all, so I knew MARRIAGE, MANHATTAN STYLE would probably be a good read. What I didn't expect was just how good it would be. There is a level of emotional commitment between these characters that surpassed my expectations. I felt drawn right into the center of their romantic dilemma. Not only were their emotions right on the table, but mine were involved as well. Very well done!

Elizabeth and Reed want a baby. It's not enough that they are wildly rich, live in a gorgeous penthouse and move with the rich and famous—not by a long shot. They both want what really matters, what money can't buy...a child. But their marriage has suffered in the pursuit of a family. Ovulation charting and loss of spontaneity have made Elizabeth feel less loved than she ever has. Even her red negligee and attempt at seducing her husband falls short. She feels diminished by her inability to get what they need. But Reed has a few tricks up his sleeve... sexy moves that just might draw Elizabeth's defenses down a notch.

The chemistry between this couple sizzles. And Reed's "solution"? It may not have a medical foundation but it sure brought an extra heat to this marriage! I enjoyed MARRIAGE, MANHATTAN STYLE not only because it is wonderfully well written, but because it shows that even the glossiest of doors may hide a secret or two.
