The second book in the Hex series features feisty witch Jazz and her drop-dead gorgeous vampire cop boyfriend in a new installment. Separated again, upset and angry, the two of them start having violent, recurring dreams in which each one figures in disturbing and menacing ways. They can’t sleep, they can’t eat, and they finally figure out they’d better get together and discover who’s poisoning their dreams—and their relationship.

HEX APPEAL starts off where 50 WAYS TO HEX YOUR LOVER left off and Jazz's life is still as crazy and topsy-turvy as ever! Her bunny slippers are accused of murder and Nick is keeping secrets. Not to mention she's begun to have some disturbing dreams and is convinced that something is out to get her. Nothing is ever easy in Jazz's life, is it?

The highlights of Wisdom's first book are still present in this sequel. The characters are wacky without being silly and the story is spooky without being kooky. The dialog is still the strength of the story, and is what kept this reader going even when the plot started to veer into slightly eye-rolling territory. That said, however, HEX APPEAL did keep my attention and I liked that it could be read as a stand alone novel. Of course, I would recommend that the books be read in order, but it's not essential.

Overall, I would recommend HEX APPEAL to anyone who enjoys laughter with their love and a little paranormal activity with their mystery.
