She always ran from the law. Now she'll seduce it.
A trained thief, Desiree of Canterbury can wriggle out of any tight spot with a coy smile. Until she meets her match in Nicholas Grimshaw, the most feared lawman in the shire. Ruggedly handsome and all brawn, Nicholas is the key to avenging the unjust execution of her elderly guardian. Yet the crackling passion burning between them, stoked by every stolen touch, could defeat all her plans.
Nicholas is bound to Desiree by a debt of honor—though the lush, quick-witted beauty may be the death of him yet. Unwillingly installed in his household, Desiree mischievously disrupts his well-ordered life until he doesn't know whether to kiss or kill her. But soon Nicholas must use all his wiles to save them both from a merciless enemy...and, finally, claim her merry heart.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
The last book I read by Sarah McKerrigan was LADY DANGER and I had to stop halfway through because the hero was entirely too alpha for me—and I like alpha men! So it was with a certain amount of trepidation that I picked up DANGER'S KISS; I wasn't sure what was going to be in store for me. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised by McKerrigan's latest novel. I thought Desiree, though young, was a perfect match for Nicholas, and I loved how unsure Nicholas was of what he could offer Desiree.
McKerrigan deftly blends humor with romantic chemistry, and the result is a funny story where the reader falls in love with the characters at the same time as they fall in love with each other. Even though I had problems with her first book, I thoroughly enjoyed DANGER'S KISS and look forward to not only searching out her backlist, but also reading her future offerings!
