TIMELESS MOON Author: C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp ISBN: 0765356651 3/2008 PARANORMAL Publisher: NAL/SIGNET ECLIPSE
As much as I enjoy the Sazi novels, TIMELESS MOON is a disappointment. It is so off the mark from its predecessors that aside from the shapeshifting aspect, and the snakes again trying to rule the world, it just doesn't fit. It is repetitive and unimaginative, but mostly it is a case of too much. There is too much effort put into making the heroine a savior so special, that she is more annoying than anything else. There are too many scenes where she passes out from her psychic visions and her hero has to save her. There are too many times where she narrowly escapes from her snake pursuers. I believe she escapes by planes, trains, and automobiles. Anyway, these things happen again and again until the end, where I was left with the unsatisfactory feeling of not knowing the why of what happened. And before anyone emails me about this, yes, I realize the heroine is on the run in order to save the day, but her running is boring because the same thing happens to her time and time again. Well, since nothing can keep me from loving this series as a whole, I will just say I know there must be a purpose for this filler of a story, and hope that the next one will make me forget about it.
