Highland Knight by Cindy Miles

ONLY ONE WOMAN CAN SOLVE THE MEDIEVAL MYSTERY THAT KEEPS HER BELOVED WARRIOR TRAPPED IN TIME...

After a year of writer's block, mystery novelist Amelia Landry journeys to the Scottish Highlands to stay in a remote fourteenth-century tower, hoping to reawaken her imagination. But it is when she sleeps that she finds the inspiration she seeks.

During a battle, Laird Ethan Munro and his warriors vanished into a mist, and they have spent seven centuries trying to discover why they are neither alive nor dead. When Amelia appears, Ethan, sensing she may be the one he has been waiting for, slips into her dreams. As Ethan reveals himself to her, Amelia finds herself drawn to the stoic Highlander. But even as their growing attraction spans the ages, a sinister presence threatens to destroy them and the love they share.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

It's not that I don't think Cindy Miles is a perfectly fine nurse. I'm sure she is great at handling trauma and that her patients are no doubt glad to have her. But, her books are so fabulous that I don't think she should be doing anything else but writing about her magnificent Highland warriors. I suppose I can see sharing Miles time with her family; well, sometimes, but that's about it. Otherwise, I need her to write some more of these wonderful ghostly hot romances. Stat!!

As kooky as the above sounds, I love Miles' funny, quirky, sexy, and engaging Scottish romance stories. Her style reminds me a bit of Karen Marie Moning, but it's lighter and sweeter. HIGHLAND KNIGHT is a showcase for that style as it plays on the heart strings beautifully. I cheer, I yearn, and I pray right along with the memorable characters. And what a cast of characters there are!

I want you to discover the gem of HIGHLAND KNIGHT for yourselves, so I will simply say that if you love historical style Scottish romances that no one seems to be able to do well these days, and have resigned yourself to reading nothing but contemps, you should be happy to discover that Cindy Miles can blend them both flawlessly. Happy reading!!
