Candace Sams sets ELECTRA GALAXY'S MR. INTERSTELLAR FELLER in a future Los Angeles, where Electra Galaxy owns the last green spot in the city as well as most spots that aren't, including the Stardust where she hosts her annual male beauty pageant with entrants from across the universe. Unfortunately, some unsavory types are using the pageant as cover for an arms deal. Fortunately for Keir Trask (undercover operative from the planet Oceana), his law enforcement partner on Earth turns out to be the lovely Sagan Carter, who will be posing as his manager while he poses on stage, flexing his oiled up, well defined biceps, triceps, torso and thighs. Sparks fly the instant Keir and Sagan touch, and why wouldn't they? He's every woman's dream—over seven foot tall (and the rest of his anatomy is proportionate), sparkling blue eyes, long flowing black hair, a mysterious glowing star tattoo on his cheek and light green skin that turns dark in a Hulkish way whenever he gets angry. Sagan has a history of having the people she loves lie to her for her own protection and then dying where she can't get to them. Trask has secrets and despite Sagan's internal warning bells, she falls in love with the man she's sure will only be on Earth long enough to complicate her life and then disappear like all the rest. Besides, Sagan has a few secrets of her own. Sams creates non-stop action as Trask, Sagan and their contestant cohorts battle the arms smuggling pirates from the planet Ussaria, indulge in spectacular parties and put up with the humiliation of being primped, groomed and waxed for the enjoyment of millions of vid viewers. And did I mention that Trask's second-in-command has the wings of an angel and a body to die for? Sigh. The characters are perfectly developed and the snappy dialog often left me laughing. ELECTRA GALAXY'S MR. INTERSTELLAR FELLER amazed me with its quality of action, adventure, romance and science-fiction. It is fun to consider what the people of other planets will look like, eat, and consider to be art. And it is great fun to fantasize about certain alien male body parts moving in new and interesting ways! I heartily recommend this for all the entertainment value. Susan Barton |
