MONA LISA CRAVING Author: Sunny ISBN: 9780425217450 1/2008 CONTEMPORARY Publisher: NAL/SIGNET
Sunny's Monere, Children of the Moon series, is unique, captivating and sexy. The next book in this series is called MONA LISA CRAVING, and it is everything you come to expect from Sunny and more. This time around, the story becomes darker and much more gothic and intricate than the previous books. The characters, some familiar and some not, play a big role in Mona Lisa's life and even Mona Lisa herself is different in this story. Having read each of the books in this series, along with the novellas, I've come to love Mona Lisa and her men. In each book, Mona Lisa's story becomes more intricate as she is ever evolving and taking on the role of Queen of her Louisiana territory. In my opinion, you should read the first two full length books before reading this new release. I found that the storyline in MONA LISA CRAVING is more complex, and I don't think that you would really fully appreciate this book without prior familiarity with the previous books. Lucky for me I am familiar with the complete story so far, and I found this release to be just another remarkable addition to Mona Lisa's saga. I believe this book is the darkest and most gothic of the Monere, Children of the Moon series so far. It's definitely not one to be read in a day and shelved. Read it carefully, savor the uniqueness of the plot and characters, and then go back to the other books in the series and see how far Mona Lisa has come. Sunny created a truly amazing erotic paranormal series. Once again, Sunny wows her readers with beautifully erotic sex scenes. That's another reason why I find her books so hypnotizing. Without giving too much of the plot away, I will say that you are going to be in for a real eye opener when you see just how Mona evolves in this story. You will become reacquainted with my favorite character, Halcyon, and you will be introduced to new characters, as well. There's a new man in Mona Lisa's life, a man that she was once a victim to in a past life. Reunited once more, their relationship takes on a new level and she finds herself wanting something that is out of her grasp (or so she thinks)—a baby. That's all you're getting out of me when it comes to revealing some of the plot. Those who are following this amazing series are going to be shocked at the degree of intensity this book takes on. That's why I urge you to become familiar with the previous books. It's remarkable to see how Sunny grew as an author from her first book to this book. I love not only the eroticism of the story, but also how the plot and characters are constantly evolving. There's a whole other world Sunny created in her Monere, Children of the Moon series, and I invite you to become a part of it. I highly recommend MONA LISA CRAVING. Julie Kornhausl |
