Sometimes it's good to be guilty . . .
IT'S ALL FUN & GAMES
Dark, powerful, sexy Kane. He has many names, but in truth he is Robin Goodfellow, the one-time favored son of Oberon, King of Faery. For centuries he's worked his magic, seducing and pleasuring women as befits his puca nature. But Kane made one big mistake—punishing his brother for a crime he did not commit.
UNTIL SOMEBODY LOSES A GUY
Oh yeah, he also left Dr. Janelle Corrington after the most amazing night of her life. Their lovemaking was brief, intense...and a one-night stand. While she'd established what she thought was a soul connection that could occur only once in any lifetime, he was simply having sex. Why else would he have disappeared without a word? That's why the Druid circle's punishment for Kane's other crime is so delicious: for him to be Janelle's ward, to make amends to all he harmed, to take responsibility for his actions. Finally, Kane would have to take things seriously. And only true love would be rewarded. |
RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:
THE DRUID MADE ME DO IT by Natale Stenzel is the sequel to PANDORA'S BOX. After reading this book I've made a note to pick up the first book, simply because this is such a fun read I want to know what came before Kane and Janelle's story. I suspect the Circle of Avebury, and the ancient lore that surrounds it, made the first story in this series as good a read as this second Druid book is. In any event, I'm sincerely hoping that there is a third Druid story in the works!
Kane is a hunk who is required to make amends with everyone he's harmed in the past. Janelle is a doctor who must accept guardianship of the handsome guy, the same guy who loved her and left her. Think Janelle and Kane are an unlikely love match? I did, too, but this pairing works very well. Kane offers Janelle something she can't refuse, the healing touch. The offer comes with requirements and temptations, though, and that's where things between them really begin to heat up.
Mythology and magic, mixed with just plain, old-fashioned good writing, make THE DRUID MADE ME DO IT an entertaining, fast-paced romantic comedy. While it wasn't deep or thought-provoking, this book made me laugh and sometimes that's more than enough to satisfy this reader. I enjoyed this book, and believe that anyone who feels that love can, indeed, change people will like it, too.
