For so long I have heard people gushing about Gayle Callen's books, and so I was very excited to get a chance to review NEVER TRUST A SCOUNDREL. I am happy to report that this book is everything that I hoped it would be... and more! I love everything about it, but what struck me the most was the fabulous writing. The characters are very well "put together" and the growth of their relationship is perfect.

I love how spunky Grace is. Given the state of her financial situation and the fact that she is facing total ruin, she bears up beautifully under the pressure. She is strong and feisty and she is not about to be bullied by anyone, even if that "anyone" makes her heart skip a beat and all of her good intentions fly out the window.

Daniel knows that he must tread lightly with beautiful little Miss Danbury. When he won her home, he didn't realize how lucky he was to have also won a beautiful little spitfire! But, he definitely underestimates Grace when he expects some simpering little ninny. Grace and her wager have thrown him for a loop, but he is going to show her the kind of man that he is, and in the process, get himself a beautiful prize!

Gayle Callen fans and romance readers alike are going to absolutely love this book! I am so happy to have found a new author, and I know that I will be reading Gayle Callen books for many years to come!
