ADOPTED SON is a sweet romantic tale written by Linda Warren. Jeremiah "Tuck" Tucker is a Texas Ranger who finds an abandoned child at a crime scene. The child, a two year-old toddler, has been neglected and has no living family. Tuck wants to provide the child with a home and starts the process of adoption. Grace Whitten is a lawyer and family friend who is representing a couple who also want to adopt Brady. The sparks fly between her and Tuck and they have never gotten along. When Tuck finds out Grace is the one representing the couple, he is furious, especially after Grace starts questioning his capability as a parent. But, once Tuck learns the true reasons behind Grace's intentions for the child, he begins looking at Grace in a new light... as a mother and a wife. This was such a sweet story, and a quick read. Warren writes quite well and makes a true hero out of Tuck's character. He is a man with a lioness's heart. He has true instincts for hearth and home and with doing the right thing by a child. Grace is a also a fierce protector, one who has the child's best interests at heart. I read ADOPTED SON in a couple of hours and enjoyed it. It is a great book for someone looking for something lighthearted and sweet. Kym Oetting |
