THE VAMPIRE SHRINK Author: Lynda Hilburn ISBN: 1933836237 10/2007 PARANORMAL Publisher: MEDALLION PRESS
Lynda Hilburn's THE VAMPIRE SHRINK is every bit as provocative as the cover suggests, and I loved every single minute of it! Kismet Knight is a psychologist with a perfectly ordered life that she likes. She has her clients, she has her happy little life, she has everything she wants, but for some reason she feels like something is missing. She wants some excitement, some fun. So, what does she do? When she takes on a client by the name of Midnight who thinks she wants to be a vampire, Kismet thinks that this is the perfect way to add some flare to her life. She will write a book about people who want to become vampires. So she arranges to meet with other "vampires" and vampire wannabes, all along thinking that these people are truly mental. There is no such thing as vampires. Well, not thinking that vampires are real might be Kismet's first mistake, but her second and biggest mistake is to underestimate one gorgeous vamp that goes by the name Devereux. The very first time she ever sets eyes on him, she cannot believe that someone as gorgeous and well-mannered as him thinks himself to be a friggin' vampire. Of all the luck. The first really interesting guy she has met in ages, and he is a kook. THE VAMPIRE SHRINK is so much fun, so full of humor and romance, that I could not put it down. I was "forced" to read it all in one sitting! Lynda Hilburn has a wonderful talent for writing a great story, and she brought the paranormal world alive for me with THE VAMPIRE SHRINK!
