Seduction of Forever by Jenna Petersen

From the Desk of Lady M
Daring, beautiful, and fiercely intelligent, Emily Redgrave has always seemed to me to be invincible. But after her recent encounter with a deadly assassin, I believe it is best for both Emily and this agency if her next assignment poses less risk of harm to her nimble body.

Her mission: She must do everything in her power to defend Grant Ashbury, the very powerful—and very handsome—Lord Westfield, against the nameless, faceless enemies who seek his utter destruction. Unbeknownst to Emily, Grant will be engaged in his own mission for the Crown—to protect her.

Potential difficulties: Destined to chase each other in circles around London, Emily and Grant will be easily frustrated... and easily distracted by every flicker of passion between them. Though it could put them in danger, a seduction will be nearly impossible to resist.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

Jenna Petersen concludes her "Charlie's Angels in Regency England" series with SEDUCTION IS FOREVER. I am really sad to see this thrilling series come to an end. I loved reading Anastasia, Meredith, and now Emily's story. If you haven't had the chance to read the other two books, FROM LONDON WITH LOVE and DESIRE NEVER DIES, you don't know what you're missing!

Emily Redgrave's story is finally told in SEDUCTION IS FOREVER. I found this story to be a little different than the other two books. This book seems to really focus on the internal struggles between the hero and heroine, instead of the mystery that needs to be solved. I liked how this book was more character driven; it gave the story an emotional depth that the other two books didn't fully have. Yes, there was a case that had to be solved, but that was secondary to what Emily and Grant were emotionally and physically going through.

Emily is going through a difficult time after being shot. She desperately wants to get back into the field. However, Ana, Meredith, Charlie and Lady M feel she is not ready yet. To appease her, they end up giving her the job of guarding the very handsome Grant Ashbury, Lord Westfield.

Grant is also going through a difficult time. Someone who he was very close to was killed while he was on a job. The only one who knows that he's a spy is his brother. Since that death, Grant has been "shelved," so to say, and hasn't been on any important missions. To appease him, the War Department sends him to guard Emily.

Neither Emily nor Grant needs protection, except maybe from each other. The attraction between them is so intense. They make a great couple—both working off of each other's weaknesses.

Aside from Emily and Grant, it was really nice to have Ana and Meredith play important roles in this book. Yes, we even find out the identity of Lady M! SEDUCTION IS FOREVER is the perfect ending to a really fantastic trilogy, and I have a feeling Petersen may not be completely done with the "Charlie's Angels in Regency England" themed stories.

Although I'm sad to this fine series come to an end, I'm really glad that it ended with a great book like SEDUCTION IS FOREVER. Whether you have read the previous two books or you're reading this book first, I'm sure you're going to love Emily and Grant's story!
