The first story I read by erotic author Eden Bradley was her novella, Sanctuary, in the Anthology EXCLUSIVE. Her contribution really stood out and I was an instant fan, so I definitely jumped at the chance to review THE DARKER SIDE OF PLEASURE, Bradley's full length erotic novel.

I will forewarn you that if you're not comfortable reading couples engaged in intense graphic sex, than you may not want to read THE DARKER SIDE OF PLEASURE. On the other hand, if you enjoy the more sultry explicit side of romance, then you are going to find Eden Bradley's foray into the darker side of sexual pleasure and BDSM quite tantalizing.

The first novella of THE DARKER SIDE OF PLEASURE, and my favorite, is called The Bonds of Love. I was really surprised by the emotional and physically intensity of this story. I have rarely read an erotic story that has delved into the type of situation that this story delved into. It was written very carefully and very beautifully by Bradley. This story alone sets her apart from many of the other erotic authors selling books today. Her genius in writing very sexual scenes laced with a couple's last chance at saving their marriage, really brought forth a touching and sexy story.

The second novella had my temperature rising. The Lair is H-O-T! Really, really H-O-T! I can't believe how seamlessly this book went from a moving story about a husband and wife, to an all-out BDSM story about a woman letting herself finally enjoy a lifestyle that many would deem deviant. Cassandra and Marcus heat up the pages of this book, and let me tell you that I even learned a thing or two just by reading this story.

Love and Discipline is the final novella in THE DARKER SIDE OF PLEASURE. At first I didn't think that I was going to like this story, but I was wrong. What really stood out for me was the fact that both Magdalena and Damien had issues to resolve, all the while Damien, a BDSM master, was showing sex columnist Magdalena what his lifestyle is really about. Here is another graphic story between two adults who form such a quick and close bond with each other and then end up falling in love.

Eden Bradley's THE DARKER SIDE OF PLEASURE was a pleasure for me to read. It's a very adult erotic book that not only includes tantalizing sex, but also pushes the emotional boundaries between the men and the women in each story. Fans of erotic romance are going to love this book, just like I did!
