Cut Throat by Sharon Sala

He killed her once . . .

Throat slashed and left for dead next to her murdered father, a thirteen-year-old girl vows to hunt down the man who did this to them—Solomon Tutuola. Now grown, bounty hunter Cat Dupree lets nothing—or no one—stand in the way of that deadly promise. Not even her lover, Wilson McKay.

Their sexually charged encounters leave McKay wanting more, but Cat is determined to keep her distance. She doesn't need a man making emotional demands, not now, when revenge is near.

Suspecting that Tutuola is still alive, despite witnessing the horrific explosion that should have killed him, Cat follows a dangerous money trail to Mexico, swearing not to return until she's certain Tutuola is dead—even if it means destroying her very soul . . .

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

Thrilling! Sharon Sala is one of my favorite authors and she did not disappoint with her latest novel, CUT THROAT.

Cat Dupree is a bounty hunter that is determined to solve the mystery of her childhood. She was left for dead with her throat slashed, lying next to her dead father. She was thirteen. Since that terrifying episode, revenge has become Cat's mission in life. However, Cat's lover, Wilson McKay, is in the way. Cat doesn't want any distractions to keep her from her deadly vow, even Wilson. While Cat is attempting to keep her distance from Wilson, she suspects that the man responsible for her traumatic childhood is still alive. Cat follows a dangerous path that takes her to Mexico, where Wilson may not even be able to save her from destruction.

CUT THROAT has yet another example of a strong heroine who knows what she wants, but gets distracted by a man. But, Wilson is more than just a man—he is Cat's match, both physically and emotionally.

CUT THROAT is charged with action, suspense, and sexual heat. I read this book in one sitting. Sharon Sala has always delivered and is a strong voice in romantic suspense, but this novel is just another reason she is a New York Times bestselling novelist.
