THE WIZARD'S DAUGHTER Author: Victoria Graydale ISBN: 0973494077 5/2007 PARANORMAL Publisher: STARGAZER PRESS
I didn't know what to expect when I sat down to read THE WIZARD'S DAUGHTER by Victoria Graydale. The cover put me off a bit, reminding me more of a children's book than a novel intended for adults. But once I opened the book and began to read, I was pleasantly surprised. THE WIZARD'S DAUGHTER is a tale of intrigue and suspense, a fairy tale of sorts, but for adults. It is filled with all kinds of dastardly characters who can be so evil that the reader waits—and hopes—for them to get their comeuppance. Which they do, make no mistake about that! The story is a simple tale but told so well that it takes on layers that make it seem much more intricate. The characters are well written and the dialogue is believable. I loved the flawed hero, and actually sighed at the ending. I think that if you're looking for a good, quick read, this is the book for you. I enjoyed THE WIZARD'S DAUGHTER very much, and am looking forward to reading more from this author. Kay James |
