Cake: A Fairy Tale by Dina Keratsis

Breena Murphy leads a quiet life in her home on the outskirts of Boston until fate intervenes and she finds herself in Cake, a land stuck between our world and the Realm of the Blooded, and straight into the arms of the stormy, brooding Rune.

Long ago, Rune failed in his duty to guard the first Queen Likely, and he's vowed to protect the future Likelys at all costs. Then he meets Bree, the Last Likely and, he thinks, the least likely to succeed, and he finds that his passions are not so well leashed after all.

Bree is the last remaining hope to save Cake from the tyranny of King Arthur's grandson, the insane Villen. The trouble is that she doesn't know this, and Rune is under oath to let her discover the truth of her identity for herself.

As they journey through a land filled with mystical creatures, Rune's assault on her sheltered sensibilities forces Bree to find the strength and confidence to become the woman she is meant to be. But she must make a choice—save Cake from Villen or leave the land—and Rune—forever.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Dina Keratsis pens a winner with her fantasy e-book, CAKE: A FAIRY TALE. With an imagination that is out-of-this-world, Keratsis captivates the reader with her wit. This tale is a roller coaster of emotion through the land of King Arthur and other complex characters. As this is my first fantasy book, I found it very well-written and fast paced. I truly laughed out loud and found myself enjoying this novel. Keratsis does not disappoint her readers with this e-book.
