Broken by Megan Hart

This month, my name is Mary.

My name is different every month—Brandy, Honey, Amy...sometimes Joe doesn't even bother to ask—but he never fails to arouse me with his body, his mouth, his touch, no matter what I'm called or where he picks me up. The sex is always amazing, always leaves me itching for more in those long weeks until I see him again.

My real name is Sadie, and once a month over lunch, Joe tells me about his latest conquest. But what Joe doesn't know is that, in my mind, I'm the star of every X-Rated one-night stand he has revealed to me, or that I'm practically obsessed with our imaginary sex life. I know it's wrong. I know my husband wouldn't understand. But I can't stop. Not yet.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

BROKEN is the new erotic romance by Megan Hart. If you're looking for a lighthearted, sexy romp, this is not your book. BROKEN is more than just erotic sex scenes. It is a deeply emotional and touching story about three characters that are broken, whether it be emotionally or physically, each in their own way. She intricately wove together a beautiful and sensual story about love, commitment and fidelity.

I felt for Sadie. A couple of times I thought I was even going to cry for her. She's dealing with everything that's involved with taking care of her husband, Adam, since his unfortunate accident. Once a month she meets Joe for lunch, and lives vicariously through his sexual encounters. There's more going on between them then just Joe telling her stories—they are slowly developing a deep bond.

Sadie feels torn between her husband and the lustful thoughts that she's having about Joe. Although her heart belongs to Adam, his constant mood swings, his distancing from her and his inability to sexually please her is becoming almost too much for Sadie to handle. As she looks forward to those platonic lunches with Joe, she can't help but become completely wrapped up in his sexual exploits with women, fantasizing about being one of those woman he has incredible sex with.

Just when Sadie thinks that her life can't get any worse, it does. Then it takes a crazy turn that she doesn't expect.

Megan Hart completely wowed me! I never read an erotic book that, aside from the explicit sex, is an emotionally powerful story. BROKEN is one of those books that you can read in one sitting—just make sure you have a box of tissues close by!
