The Three Truths of Katie Talmadge

Katie Talmadge has no idea what fate and destiny have in store for her when she opens her flower shop just a week before Halloween. Simon Thorton has no intention of trying for love again after the death of his wife.

But neither is a match for fate, or his magical aunt with a tendency toward matchmaking, magic and a bit of mayhem. And it is only when they have the courage to take a chance do they find that without courage you can never find love.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

This novel from Teagan Oliver is the first book that I have read from her. I am not sure what I was expecting going into the novel, but I got a pleasant surprise. THE THREE TRUTHS OF KATIE TALMADGE is a paranormal setting, with magic and mayhem thrown in to make the finished product a success in my book.

Kate Talmadge is quite the independent woman, who is focused on getting her flower store thriving, especially during the Halloween season. She meets Simon, who still seems to be grieving for his wife after her death. However, you throw in an aunt with magical tendencies, and also one who's a matchmaker, and you end up with mayhem.

Kate and Simon must face their pasts, letting past luggage go in order to make their relationship work. But, probably the most difficult thing they both must face in order to find love, is courage. But does either one have the courage to let go and let love take its course?

I loved this book! It makes me want to read all of Oliver's novels. I read this book in one sitting. I cried for the pain that Simon seems to experience while letting his wife go, but I smiled when he found Kate. There are many twists and turns along the way that will keep the reader pleasantly surprised. But the finished product is what I would call a keeper and a welcome addition to my bookshelf—if I get it back after passing it to my friends.

My hat is off to Oliver. She has done a fantastic job with THE THREE TRUTHS OF KATIE TALMADGE.
