RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

I absolutely knew that when I picked up Michelle Style's new book, I was going to be wonderfully entertained, and I am so happy that I was right! I love, love, love Michelle Style's books. Her writing is always above par and her stories are fabulous!

Silvana is such a great heroine. She is feisty and free-spirited and not even the teeniest bit afraid of what the local gossips are saying about her. Silvana is determined to help her family pay their bills, all the while trying to avoid the grabby fingers of some very undesirable men who swear that they are in love with her. On one of the latest attempts of an evil man to force her hand into marriage, she has no choice but to jump off of his boat to save herself! And it is on none other than this fateful night, when she is forced to swim to her safety, that she meets the one man who may be fated to change the course of all of her plans in one fell swoop.

Lucius Fortis is absolutely the yummiest hero of all time. He is gorgeous, rich, has a great sense of humor and is not at all intimidated by how strong Silvana is. If anything, he rather enjoys her assertive nature. Fortis knows right out of the starting gate that his biggest competitor for her hand is going to be Silvana herself, and not her trillions of admirers. Her fierce loyalty to her family and what she must do holds her back, and he knows that. But, he may be just the man it takes to show Silvana that it is okay to accept help when offered... and it is okay to love someone more than life itself.

THE ROMAN'S VIRGIN MISTRESS is an entrancing story that is literally brimming from first page to last with adventure, passion and a romance that will keep you white-knuckling the pages. The entire feel of the book—the atmosphere, the clothes, the decadence and depravity of the secondary characters, and the LOVE—all collide to make this one heck of a book that will not be easily forgotten.
