Eve decides to investigate her sister's murder without realizing the danger that she will get into, or what the consequences of such actions may be. The answers that Eve needs lie with one Raphael di Lizaro, a multi-millionaire who just happens to be hot and eligible. To find the solution to her problem, Eve must become the mistress to Raphael and soon finds herself facing a world of decadence and overindulgence that she is not used to. Raphael wants Eve for his own, despite how it happened. The two become embroiled in a situation that screams danger, not only to their lives, but also to their hearts.

THE ITALIAN'S DEFIANT MISTRESS is an uncomplicated, easy read. The characters are sympathetic and easy to relate to. The plot is fun and fast. I look forward to reading Grey's next novel.
