Savage Quest by Cassie Edwards

Dreams...

They were her stock and trade. Day in and day out, Annamae Jacobsen pretended to interpret other people’s nighttime fancies, earning her way on the carnival circuit. But it was a life she hated, one she had not chosen, and a daring escape landed her in the arms of the most exciting man she’d ever known: Chief Cougar of the Blackfoot tribe.

Are What We Make Them

Among Cougar’s people, Annamae discovered that dreams could tell the future, visions were sacred and her own very real abilities made her a true member of the village. As the sun went down she would reach the stars with the virile mate she'd been destined to love.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Calling all collectors of Cassie Edwards' Savage series, there is a new one to add to your collection. SAVAGE QUEST is the next book in Cassie Edwards's series. This time, Edwards incorporates the customs and heritage of the Blackfoot Indian Tribe of Montana with the type of romance story that she is known to write.

I can honestly say that SAVAGE QUEST is a pretty good book. I'm not a huge fan of Cassie Edwards, but I will admit that it is quite evident that she puts a lot of time and energy into the research of the Indian tribe she is writing about. However, in my opinion, she doesn't seem to spend a lot time in developing the relationship between the Indian Chief and the white woman with whom he falls in love. This time, Edwards did, and I enjoyed SAVAGE QUEST just because of that.

It's not necessary to go into much detail about the plot of the book, but I will say that although it is comparable with her other books, SAVAGE QUEST reads more smoothly and believably than those of hers that I've read before. Alright, some parts are a bit cheesy, and some of the dialogue I sort of roll my eyes at, but all-in-all Cassie Edwards wrote a book that I would add to my "I think I may keep this book" shelf.

I know that fans of Cassie Edwards are going to love SAVAGE QUEST. I would recommend that they all buy it and add it to their collections. For the not-so-much-of a Cassie Edwards fan, I would say that you may want to read this book as it's better than the last one.
