I have to give credit to author Sunny. Her Monere series is such a unique blend of eroticism and paranormal. Her first book in the series, MONA LISA AWAKEINING, was an awe-inspiring story. Then, she contributed a novella to the anthology, OVER THE MOON. In this anthology, she continued the story that she began with her first book. Now, Sunny has released another full-length book in her on-going Monere saga called, MONA LISA BLOSSOMING.

There's something about this series that captivates me, and in all honestly, it shouldn't. The heroine has more than one lover, the sex is quite explicit, and you really must read all these stories in order for they don't stand-alone very well. But here I am, writing a review about a book that, in all honesty, I should be cautioning readers about. MONA LISA BLOSSOMING is not for everyone; the series is not for everyone. However, I like it! I really, really like this series.

Mona Lisa is half human and half Monere. She is a Queen from an ancestry who populated the moon millions of years ago. I can't really go into much more detail; you simply must read the first book in this series to understand what happens in this book better. Now, in MONA LISA BLOSSOMING, Mona Lisa and her men, Gryphon and Amber, are going to Louisiana to rule her domain. Mona Lisa has no idea what is in store for her in Louisiana.

Sunny pulls no punches with this book! It is sexy, it is dangerous and it is addicting. Granted, it is not for everyone, but for those who have followed the series thus far—you are going to love it! I couldn't put it down. There are sequences in this book that will put you on the edge of your seat.

I won't recommend MONA LISA BLOSSOMING to everyone. There are aspects of this story that will make some romance readers uncomfortable, and for that reason I won't give it a TOP PICK. I will, however, give it 4 Roses because I love the uniqueness of this story, the writing is excellent and the relationships between the characters are intense.
