A RED HOT NEW YEAR is an erotic anthology that is sure to start anyone's new year off on the right (hot) foot. The four stories, New Year's Bites by Cynthia Eden, Night Resolutions by Diana Mercury, Snow Blind by Virginia Reede and Coming on Strong by Denise Rossetti are each well written and entertaining. Combined, they make this anthology a sizzling delight to read.

Erotic romance is occasionally plot-less, filled with meaningless sex scenes and little else. Not so in this volume. Characters are fully developed and, in many cases, sympathetic. Even the wolfman in New Year's Bites is a perfect hero, handsome and emotionally present. Each story has a plot that is intriguing. Snow Blind pulls two dear friends together in ways that neither one could anticipate, although both very clearly enjoyed every moment of their vacation. Night Resolutions is another case where the story is interesting, with or without sex. My favorite is Coming on Strong by Denise Rossetti, mainly because the heroine in this story is such a tortured woman, determined to hide from the world. That is, until she meets someone who is willing to see-and accept-her for who she truly is.

All in all, this is a great collection of hot romantic tales.
