RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: 4 Rose Read

Maggie Shayne knew she had something special when she wrote her immortal witch paranormal reads, and it looks like her publisher agrees. They have smartly combined and re-released Destiny and Immortality (originally written in 2001) into one book entitled IMMORTAL DESIRE.

While not quite as good as ETERNAL LOVE, IMMORTAL DESIRE is a good read, with Destiny being the best part of it. After reading ETERNAL LOVE I did wonder just what became of Nidaba, and Shayne does a fabulous job of explaining Nidaba's history as well as her future. Actually, Destiny is such a complete work that Immortality hardly seems necessary. It is rather short, dark, and features such an evil villainess for a heroine that I have a hard time liking her. But, the story works, so while it is my least favorite of the two, I still like the concept and enjoy the story.

The way that Immortality ends tells me there is more to come from these witches and I, for one, cannot wait.
