The Angel and the Outlaw by Kathryn Albright

Stuart Taylor is on the run from murder and doesn't need Rachel Houston's interference, but the outspoken woman has other ideas. Her plans don't, however, include caring for the obstinate man. When the law catches up to Stuart, she must decide where to put her trust. Will she stand by her man?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS: Top Pick

THE ANGEL AND THE OUTLAW by Kathryn Albright is a fast-moving, high-energy western historical romance. A tale of love, friendship and promises kept at all costs, it is well written and engaging. I fell in love with Matthew on the very first page. His willingness to help Linnea, even at his own expense, grabbed my heart. Her mistakes could be any woman's fate, and her frantic desire to keep her daughter safe a trait that most women could embrace. Forced to live with the result of his promise to Linnea, Matthew finds a new life for himself and young Hannah. But when he meets a compassionate schoolteacher he feels the barriers he's built around his heart begin to slip.

Kathryn Albright tells a terrific story. Heartwarming, poignant and with enough plot twists to keep the story moving quickly, THE ANGEL AND THE OUTLAW is a book that I know I'll read time and again. Well done, Ms. Albright!
