There are just not enough pirate romance books out there to read anymore. Thank goodness, Alexandra Benedict wrote a delicious pirate story for her newest release, TOO GREAT A TEMPTATION. I couldn't be any happier. I was glued to this story from the beginning and I read the whole book in one day!
How much do I love the hero, Damian Westmore? A lot! Damian, also known as "Duke of Rogues", has come to a pivotal point in his life. He just found out that his brother has been killed at sea by a pirate ship, and now he wants vengeance for his death. That means that there are no more gaming hells, intoxication, and wenches for him to indulge in anymore. He has turned his life around and is completely focused on his goal. He doesn't expect that a fiery blond is going to turn his plans topsy-turvy! Just wait until you realize what she is! I'm sure you'll be just as surprised as Damian was.
Mirabelle Hawkins is strong willed, sassy and beautiful. She is not your typical heroine, which makes this story all the more fun to read! She and her brothers are on an adventure at sea. It is just her luck that Damian has been asked to join the crew as the navigator of the ship. Now, not only does she have to constantly prove her worth about the ship, but she has to try to keep her distance from the devilishly handsome navigator.
The sexual tension between Damian and Mirabelle was intense! Benedict did a fantastic job keeping me on edge until they finally succumbed to their attraction. However, both of them are harboring secrets that are going to bring nothing but heartache and betrayal to both of them.
There is enough romance, drama, action and intrigue to satisfy even the most hard to please romance readers. TOO GREAT A TEMPTATION is a thoroughly enjoyable, swashbuckling tale of forgiveness and love. Alexandra Benedict penned a grand adventure that starts in England, sails the sea, and ends up back in England with an ending that will shock you!
