Billionaires Prefer Blondes

It's not easy dating a billionaire...

Samantha Jellicoe has never met a secureity camera she couldn't disarm. And even though she's promised her billionaire lover, the irresistible Richard Addison, to walk the straight and narrow, she certainly can't help it when trouble finds her.

What should have been a quiet night at an auction house turns into something more unexpected when Sam spied her father—her dead father—very much alive and very interested in a painting Rick is after. Then the painting vanishes, Sam's arrested, and all hell breaks loose.

Now Sam has to track down the man who taught her everything she knows about breaking and entering. And when she finds him, will his proposal for a lucrative heist tempt her to the dark side, or does Rick have a few tricks to keep her on the right side of a jail cell?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Suzanne Enoch is back with her third installment about the continuing love affair between reformed thief Samantha Jellicoe and hunky billionaire Rick Addison. BILLIONAIRES PREFER BLONDES can totally stand alone, but it is definitely worth reading after you have read FLIRTING WITH DANGER and DON'T LOOK DOWN first.

I have to admit that I am a huge Suzanne Enoch fan. I love her writing and I especially love her regency historicals. I am still getting used to her writing contemporary romance. So it's here I should mention that I enjoy her historicals more than her contemporaries; but in true Enoch style, she can write a book with engaging characters, wonderful situations and she sure knows how to write steamy sex scenes!

BILLIONAIRES PREFER BLONDES begins with Samantha and James in New York. Still getting used to having a "significant other", Samantha knows that her thievery is in the past. But how on earth is she going sit through a Sotheby auction with Rick? If that's not bad enough, while at the auction, Samantha sees her supposedly dead father casing out the place. Before leaving the auction with Rick and two very pricey pictures, she decides to set up a rendezvous with him in the middle of the night. But it doesn't turn out the way Samantha planned, because she ends up being handcuffed and one of Rick's prized paintings is missing.

Rick Addison, an extremely wealthy and affluent Brit, has it real bad for Samantha. He is completely and utterly in love with her and accepts her past. However, when he wakes up in the middle of the night with his burglar alarm going off and police in his apartment, he can only think that his no-show girlfriend may have a hand in this ordeal. It only gets worse when he notices his picture missing, and it gets even worse when Samantha ends up being handcuffed and sent off to jail.

Samantha has a mystery to solve, once she's able to get out of the handcuffs. She needs to know if her father, an ex-thief, is responsible for this debacle. Will she be able to trust Rick and tell him the truth about her father and what happened that night at the Sotheby auction? I guess you're going to have to read the book to find out!

As much as I love Suzanne Enoch, BILLIONAIRES PREFER BLONDES just didn't have the pizzazz like her other books have. Yes, it was a good book and worth reading, but for me it lacked the luster and emotion that her regencies have. If you have followed Samantha and Rick's love affair, definitely go out and read BILLIONAIRES PREFER BLONDES.
