The Stanton Curse by Anita Whiting

Ireland. Home to incredibly green grass, rocky shores and magic. And evil. It was fear of facing that evil that had kept Cassie McGuire away for ten long years.

Away from her father, her aunt, and the man she had left behind. Yet she couldn’t deny her ancestry any longer. Or her supernatural powers. Those powers were telling her it was time to deal with her destiny. A destiny that could set her family free or, if she failed, could forever condemn them to The Stanton Curse.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

THE STANTON CURSE is a highly enjoyable tale with lots to captivate you into turning the pages. It has a spooky feel to it, mystical really; probably has something to do with all those curses and witchcraft. If it was broadcast on the tellie, I bet there would be lots of foggy scenes on the screen.

Cassie, the heroine, is a likable character, though hot tempered. I fell in love with her family, especially her father, Shamus. But the star is definitely Connor. He's the hero, of course, and a very sexy one at that. He does not fear the Stanton Curse nor the cursed heroine (and frankly, she's a little scary the way she controls the weather with her moods)!

Why the Four Rose Read? It seemed to take a long time to get to the crux of the matter, the romance. Chapter one went through Cassie's background, her mother's background, and her stepmother's background. I understand why, the writer set up the story, but it was kind of hard to get interested. But, by chapter two everything took off, so I can't help but highly recommend it to you.
