Learning to Live by Meg Allison

Katie Marie Morrison hides behind a flirtatous mask as she serves burgers and peach cobbler at Pops' Dinner. Her bright smile and sarcastic wit hides the devastating knowledge she was just a one-night-stand for the one man she ever loved.

Jeff McAlester, her only lover, returns home for good. But timing is everything and it's Katie who's now ready to leave. Despite their rekindled love, she doesn't want to stay. Can Jeff, the man with bluer-than-blue eyes and highly-charged kisses, help Katie learn to live a little ... the old fashioned way with a white picket fence and Happily Ever After?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

I love this story! This is the kind of tale that reminds you of falling in love for the first time. The writing is quick and to the point without numerous descriptions of furniture, wall coverings and clothing. It lets the reader imagine things the way they would have it, instead of having their head filled with so many details that they begin to forget just where the story line was going. The only draw back to this style of writing is that I wish there were a few more scenes written about the interactions of the main characters.

After reading what is the third story in this series, I find myself desperately wanting to go back and read the first two stories. Also, I can't wait to see if there will be yet another story. The cozy, small town atmosphere lends to the warmth and romance this story brings to the reader.
