Home by Starlight by Jerri Corgiat

Ever since Patsy Lee O'Malley's husband died, she's been solely responsible for four children, a multitude of animals, and a run-down farmhouse in Cordelia, Missouri. There's never been enough time to pursue her own artistic dreams, or even to slow down—until a mishap knocks her off her feet.

At one time, the roar of applause filled the ears of musician Zeke Townley. Now there's only the quiet of a solitary lifestyle—until he offers to help out his friend's sister-in-law, Patsy Lee, who's laid up with a broken ankle. Taking care of her—and her countless responsibilities—is no easy task, but it reminds Zeke of the joys of having a family to call his own. Soon, both come to realize that the sidewalk Patsy slipped on was actually a crossroads. And together they'll have to figure out which way to turn next...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

HOME BY STARLIGHT is very well written with lovable characters and a strong plot. I enjoyed reading it. The heroine, Patsy Lee, is such a fun individual and Zeke Townley, the hero, is wonderful.

This book is not, however, for the easily confused. You have to stay sharp to read it and take frequent breaks because there is so much information in each paragraph that you'll find yourself asking,"Now, who is this again?" (The author tries to keep it straight for you by using lots of parentheses, like this one.)

But don't be put off by the above. You'll enjoy the book. Just make sure you don't have a lot of interruptions while reading it.
