Cupid's Arrow by Debbie Wallace

Mike has his hands full between working as a police detective and raising a teenage daughter by himself. The last thing he's looking for is a relationship to complicate his life, much less love. However, he finds himself immediately smitten with Emma Stuart after a mistake lands him at her door. Soon it seems he's bumping into her everywhere he goes. He convinces himself he's not interested, only problem is, why can't he ignore the heat between them every time they meet?

Emma's content with her quiet life the way it is. Two years after her divorce she's looking forward to settling into her new condo by the lake. However, her matchmaking sister has other plans. Before she knows it she's running into Stratton's sexy small town detective at every turn. Mike quickly lays down the law, his law that he's not going to get involved with her. Well, if that's the case, why can't keep his hands off her?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Debbie Wallace's CUPID'S ARROW is the perfect book to cuddle up with on a lazy day. It's an endearing romance laced with enough sexual tension to keep you turning the pages.

Divorcee Emma Stuart and her sister, Amanda, are settling in to their new condo by the lake. Ever since their parents died in a car crash, Emma has taken on the job of raising Amanda, even though there is only a ten-year age difference between them. Amanda has taken it upon herself to get Emma out and have her start dating again, and she knows the perfect man—Detective Mike Denton.

Mike, a divorcee and single dad raising his thirteen-year-old daughter, isn't ready for a serious relationship. He wants to be there for his daughter and make her his first priority in his life. He doesn't expect to meet sexy Emma and have his heart follow it's own path.

Emma and Mike are instantly attracted to each other. There are so many misunderstandings between the two of them, as the reader, you're not sure how Ms. Wallace is going to get these two together. If that isn't bad enough, once they find out the truth about each other, the sexual frustration these two people go through is just torture. Not only for them, but also for us, the readers, as well!

CUPID'S ARROW is a wonderful contemporary romance between two adults who deeply want and need each other. Emma and Mike are extremely likable and compliment each other very well. Ms. Wallace created two believable people who not only care for each other, but also extend that same care to their families.

You shouldn't pass up a chance to read Debbie Wallace's CUPID'S ARROW!
