Ever since their parents died in a car crash, Emma has taken on the job of raising Amanda, even though there is only a ten-year age difference between them. Amanda has taken it upon herself to get Emma out and have her start dating again, and she knows the perfect man—Detective Mike Denton.

Mike, a divorcee and single dad raising his thirteen-year-old daughter, isn't ready for a serious relationship. He wants to be there for his daughter and make her his first priority in his life. He doesn't expect to meet sexy Emma and have his heart follow it's own path.
