BAD BOYS AHOY! Author: Sylvia Day ISBN: 0758212518 2/2006 HISTORICAL Publisher: KENSINGTON/Brava
BAD BOYS AHOY! it is, with this sexy, thrilling novel by Sylvia Day! It is actually three separate novellas all wrapped up in one book. The great thing about this book is that all three stories connect in some way. In the third one, all three couples come together to tie it up nicely and give the entire trilogy a great ending. In Stolen Pleasures, Sebastian, better known as Lord Merrick, alias Captain Phoenix, steals himself a woman while out pirating on the open seas. Little does he know that the woman he is stealing is none other than his bride, Olivia, whom he has never met. Upon meeting her, he finds out that he has been married by proxy to this amazing woman who he can't seem to get enough of. Stolen Pleasures is my favorite out of the trilogy. It is witty, fun, and has a hero named Sebastian. With a combination like that, you can't go wrong! In Lucien's Gamble, Lucien finds a woman parading as a man in his club and discovers that she is none other than Julienne La Coeur, a woman he has lusted over for what seems like forever. He makes her stay the night at his club, stating that it is too late in the evening for her to sojourn home on her own. Julienne stays, with no intention of falling in love with Lucien—a man she has only ever dreamed about. When Lucien comes to her, she welcomes him with open arms, and let me tell you, it is hot, hot, hot! The final story is Her Mad Grace, with the hero being Julienne's brother. I loved this story. I felt so bad for Hugh in Lucien's Gamble because he was so down on his luck. In Her Mad Grace, he changes all that around. When his carriage breaks down while journeying through the country, Hugh is disturbed to have to present himself to a legendary duchess, who is rumored to be a madwoman, to ask for her assistance in getting his wheel fixed. There is a blizzard outside, so Hugh ends up staying at the duchess's house for two weeks, waiting for the roads to become clear again. In this two week's time, this book practically lights on fire! Hugh and Charlotte, the mad duchess's companion, indulge in some snowy day fun that had my glasses fogging before long! BAD BOYS AHOY! is a collection of funny, charming, sexy, HOT novellas that will steam up the coldest day and make Sylvia Day a new must have for me!! Kristal Gorman |
