Passions of the Ghost by Sara Mackenzie

He is Lord Reynald de Mortimer, a powerful warrior of the thirteenth century who defended his castle against his fiercest enemies. Now Reynald has awakened from a seven-hundred-year sleep to find that his beloved home has turned into a modern hotel. Worse, it is host to a medieval festival! Before Reynald can begin to contemplate his fate, a stunning beauty comes to his rescue...

Amy Fairweather is not your typical damsel. Nor is she in distress. As a former con artist, it'll take more than a breathtaking giant in armor to convince her that he's the Lord Reynald... even if he does set Amy's nights ablaze with passion and magic. But then strange, inexplicable things start to happen at the hotel, and she has no choice but to believe that the Ghost has emerged from the shadows of time. And now he must seek redemption by facing his greatest threat ...with the unquestioning love of one extraordinary woman by his side.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

The last installment of Sara Mackenzie's Immortal Warriors trilogy is called PASSIONS OF THE GHOST. This is my favorite book from the trilogy, but my least favorite book cover. If ever there were a Knight in Shining Armor to rescue me, I would want it to be Reynald de Mortimer, a.k.a. The Ghost. Usually I go for the tall, dark and handsome type, but I'll take a fair-haired Welsh Lord any day!

Sara Mackenzie thrills us once again with a paranormal romance that's exciting and romantic. In PASSIONS OF THE GHOST, Lord Reynald de Mortimer is awakened from a between-worlds slumber to right a wrong from his past. My favorite scene is right at the beginning of the book when Reynald, garbed in full body armor, tries to save a damsel in distress! How utterly romantic!

Reynald needs to persuade Amy, the damsel, that he is indeed the Lord of this castle that has been turned into a hotel. Amy won't be easily persuaded, as she has her own problems, but she can't seem to shrug off this captivating man who claims he's from the past.

Passion and danger envelops the castle, with Amy and Reynald in the middle of it. You won't want to put this book down, especially with the phenomenal twist at the end of the story!

PASSIONS OF THE GHOST is a great book to end Sara Mackenzie's series. But a little birdie told me that perhaps Sara might have more immortals to awaken in the future.
