Lady's Choice by Amanda Scott

An abducted bride, her fearless younger sister, the lost Templar treasure, and an intrepid hero whose victory could mean losing the love of his life…

Lady Sorcha Macleod is certain that the man her sister Adela loves, the dashing Scottish Knight Templar Sir Hugo Robison, is the masked rider who kidnaps Adela on her wedding day. When she learns he is not, she sets off to rescue Adela with Hugo in hot pursuit. On the road with the irrepressible Sorcha, Hugo soon discovers a woman of fire and beauty, a woman he longs to touch and taste-but his honor forbids it, because he is bound by his vow to marry Adela. As a cruel mastermind plots to steal the Templars' storied treasure and keep Adela for himself, Sorcha and Hugo will risk everything, even their own destiny, to save her and to protect the Templars' long-held secret.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Every time I pick up an Amanda Scott book, I am reminded why it has been a lifelong dream of mine to visit Scotland. Never has an author done such justice to a culture, to the beauty of a time and place. Every word that is written sends you back some 800 years, as if you stand right there with these great characters and this wonderful family that I cannot get enough of.

Lady Sorcha Macleod has done the absolute unthinkable. She has sent letters to a man in hopes that he will save her sister, Adela, from making a terrible mistake and marrying the wrong person. When Adela's wedding day arrives and she is kidnapped, everyone at the wedding assumes that it is Sir Hugo Robinson that has come for her. Upon reaching the isle of Eigg, Sorcha expects to see her sister happily ensconced at Hugo's side. When she discovers that Adela has gone missing, she does the only thing that a sister can do. After setting the man she feels is responsible back on his heels from her tongue lashing, she sets off on a foolish, crazy journey to find her sister, with no plan whatsoever. What she needs is a good ol' fashioned knight in shining armor to come swooping down to the rescue—and that is exactly what she gets.

Sir Hugo has never been treated so disrespectfully in his entire life. First Lady Sorcha sends him insulting letters practically demanding that he come and steal Adela away from her wedding, and then she slaps his face in front of an entire crowd of people. What the woman needs is a good ol' fashioned spanking, to his way of thinking. Upon discovering that this same impulsive, beautiful chit has gone and taken her very life—and that of her younger sister's—into her own hands and gone off on a wild goose chase to find Adela, he has no choice but to go after her and bring all three woman home.

What ensues is a fierce battle of wills between our headstrong Sorcha and our rugged war hero, Hugo. Hugo is determined that no woman is going to put him in his place... and yet Sorcha is just so pretty when she is all fired up and demanding, that he has a hard time saying no to her!

Amanda Scott is such a fantastic storyteller. No one writes a book like her. LADY'S CHOICE is an exceptional read and a must have for all of Ms. Scott's fans, or those just looking to immerse themselves in a beautiful story that continues a saga of beautiful, headstrong women and dominant Alpha males that will take your very breath away.
