From London With Love by Jenna Petersen

From the Desk of Lady M

Meredith Sinclair is one of my best agents. She is stunning, witty and resourceful. She sparkles at every gala and can conquer any man with a whisper and a smile. Her target: Tristan Archer, Marquis of Carmichael. Known as a proud and powerful member of society, he also once saved Meredith's life. She should trade on her seductive wiles and their prior relationship, if necessary.

Her mission: To uncover a treacherous plot and bring a potential traitor to justice.

Potential weaknesses: The dashing marquis's bold, intimate caress. His devilish good looks. And his devastating kiss that could bring even the best spy to her knees...

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

Spies, intrigue, treason; I'm already hooked and we haven't even gotten to the good stuff. Jenna Petersen weaves a tale full of mystery and passion, with a fair share of humorous irony. The heroine, Meredith Sinclair, is a member of the Crown's secret group of female spies. She and her colleagues can be ready to save their King and Country one moment, and attend tea with a duchess the next.

I love a good spy romance, but it's so rare to find one with a woman spy and a man who is unwittingly in the way. While Meredith finds herself having to investigate the only man she's ever loved—Tristan, he keeps hindering her investigation by trying to protect her. Which leads the reader to wonder, will these two ever be able to trust each other with their secrets or will they continue to block one another at every turn?

Of course, let's not forget that the attraction between these two is electric. The excitement only increases as the temptation becomes too great to resist. How will they manage to maintain their facades while giving into their desires?

After reading this story I find I cannot wait to see what Petersen has in store for Meredith's fellow spies. If the following stories are anything like the first, I'm sure to be swept up for a whirlwind ride.
