Once in a Blue Moon by Celia Stuart

Even strong-willed Texas divas have an Achilles heel and where Ty Boudreaux is concerned, Bad Betti Blanchard will break every rule she’s got. Can a girl from the wrong side of the tracks and Bluebonnet’s favorite son find common ground outside the bedroom?

Despite the interfering in-laws, a jealous baby sister and a holiday no one wants to remember, Betti and Ty discover that even though their happily ever after doesn’t come easy, anything worth having is worth working for.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

It's hard to describe how real the characters in this book become to the reader. From the first page, Celia Stuart created a sense of place and a sense of personality that few writers do effectively. Betti Blanchard is a strong and sharp character who boldly loves Ty Boudreaxu with all her might. She's a fascinating woman.

I sympathized with Ty. He's a brooding character and so believably written that you think about him long after you put the book down. He's been hurt; he's unhappy, disheartened, and dejected—but he's FABULOUS.

The only reason you may not want to read this book is the graphic sex. If that offends you, then don't read ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. But, if you're all for it, I recommend it. It's a Top Pick.
