Trimagon Hall by Josie A. Okuly

Isabella Trenton arrives at Trimagon Hall intent on discovering the truth behind her cousin’s mysterious death. Isabella finds herself attracted to the handsome Trimagon brothers even though one, or both of them, might be involved in the incident. Trimagon Hall is a place of dark legends and mysterious, brooding men. Will Isabella discover its secrets before she loses everything, including her life?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

TRIMAGON HALL is an old fashioned gothic in miniature. It has the intelligent but risk-taking beauty (a governess, of course), the brooding hero, the feckless relatives and hangers-on, the motherless child, and, of course, the castle, an enormous stone edifice already five hundred years old in 1860's Cornwall in England.

Okuly manages to hit all the notes of a classic Mary Stewart-type tale in her novella. I look forward to seeing what she can do in a full-length novel. Meanwhile, if you have a little time to spare, download TRIMAGON HALL! I recommend reading it in front of a cozy fire with candlelight flickering.
