TRIMAGON HALL Author: Josie A. Okuly ISBN: NA 12/2005 HISTORICAL Publisher: CHIPPEWA PUBLISHING
TRIMAGON HALL is an old fashioned gothic in miniature. It has the intelligent but risk-taking beauty (a governess, of course), the brooding hero, the feckless relatives and hangers-on, the motherless child, and, of course, the castle, an enormous stone edifice already five hundred years old in 1860's Cornwall in England. Okuly manages to hit all the notes of a classic Mary Stewart-type tale in her novella. I look forward to seeing what she can do in a full-length novel. Meanwhile, if you have a little time to spare, download TRIMAGON HALL! I recommend reading it in front of a cozy fire with candlelight flickering. Heather Hiestand |
