My Knight, My Rogue by Phyllis Campbell

Forced to play the strumpet-- Lady Megan never expected her own mother to encourage her to play the part of harlot, but it's preferable than marrying the drunken lord her grandmother has selected for her husband. When she mistakenly enters into a compromising position with a man other than the duke her parents wanted her to seduce, will her body be the worst traitor of all?

Known scoundrel -- Edumund Knight lost everything at the hands of Lord Saxton. Edmund will use every weapon at his disposal, including the nobleman's daughter, Lady Megan, to reclaim that which is rightfully his. But, he never expected to want the lady more than his gold.

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

MY KNIGHT, MY ROGUE is a sultry little book full of "How dare you!" and "You scandalous rake!" repartee. Frankly, Edmund Knight is rather rakish, and he's my new crush. The story is a page-turner with plenty of plot twists, especially when Lady Megan runs off with...you didn't really think I would tell you?

I highly recommend this book and look forward to anything else Ms. Campbell puts out, which I think could be forthcoming with a character named Nicholas Fielding, Marquis of Castledale? Bonnets off to Phyllis Campbell for an interesting read -- and if you're in an abandoned cottage with Edmund Knight, that would be shirts and riding habits off to you!
