RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

CRAZY FOR KATE overflows with a certain warmth, due largely to the romantic couple. These two characters are pleasant enough, but the romance began too quickly for my tastes. I really liked this story, but I thought it needed more introduction of the romantic couple.

CRAZY FOR KATE starts with the couple jumping straight into a serious relationship. I didn't know much about each character when the story first started, so I would have loved to have a small background for each character. I believe it would have helped the story to be more believable. The characters developed slowly throughout the story, but even towards the end, I didn't know much about either main character. The book was very fast-paced, sizzling with sexual tension, and it was the sexual tension between the main characters that definitely made CRAZY FOR KATE an enjoyable read, even if I thought the story started abruptly.

Ms. McDonough's characters were very well thought out, and she described them perfectly. Chris and Kate make a great couple, even if the romance was rushed along. They had just met in the beginning after a long time apart, and then were suddenly a couple. The quickness of the relationship did not work for me. I would have liked to have more details, instead of the main characters rushing into such a serious relationship.

CRAZY FOR KATE was an enjoyable story I could not put down. I just felt that this book had more of a fantasy feel to it, kind of like what every woman believes the perfect romance should be. Everyone in the book was good natured, and there was not much of a climax or conflict. This was a story of a whirlwind romance that turned out to be just that - a whirlwind romance. It had a lot of sexual overtures in it that kept me reading until the end.

If you are in the mood for a happy romantic book, I would definitely recommend CRAZY FOR KATE.
