Don't Tempt Me by Julie Ortolon

Adrian St. Claire, the sexy chef at the Pearl Island B&B, is as tempting as the dishes he serves. In fact, he's never had a woman tell him no--until his family needs help searching for a legendary heirloom on the sunken ship in the island's cove. To find the treasure they need the help of a woman whose history is as linked as theirs to the island's romantic past.

As the owner of the Pirate's Pleasure, Jackie Taylor is far more interested in running her cruise ship along the Texas coast than in chasing tales of lost booty, and even less interested in tangling with a man who collects female admirers just by walking down the street. On top of that, helping the St. Claires could dredge up secrets she'd like to remain buried.

Enticed by Jackie's resistance, Adrian soon has something more than treasure hunts and casual flirtation in mind...and he's not a man who takes no for an answer. But will they each have the courage to risk their hearts for the greatest treasure of all--falling in love?

RRAH's THOUGHTS AND PONDERINGS:

"Fun is good!"

Though that is a lottery slogan, it fits Julie Ortolon's newest release, DON'T TEMPT ME. I find it a lot of fun, as a matter of fact, as well as a steamy find!

Adrian St. Claire is a womanizing chef at his family-owned B & B. He is simply irresistable to all women, save one: the one he wants in his bed, and the one he needs to recover a lost treasure for his ghostly ancestor. However, toughs as nails and jaded Jackie Taylor is nobody's girl of the moment. After a small taste of her charms, Adrian realizes that there is much more to recover than a lost antique powder horn.

I absolutely love the tension between Adrian and Jackie. She is a no nonsense kind of gal that has been hurt so many times in the past, that she is not willing to ruin a business relationship for a bit of lust. Her reaction to Adrian's advances and questions is downright hysterical at times. Cynical and abrupt, she lets Adrian know just how she feels. Adrian gets a dose of his own medicine, though he truly is one of the "nice guys."

Despite its contemporary status, I really enjoyed this one. There are small appearances by ghosts, and some meddling siblings that intrigued me. It's also the third in a series, and though I haven't read the other two, they now tempt me as well!
