Abby Flannigan was a successful author of children's books. She had moved to Dolphin Bay and was very happy with a house on the beach. Her friend, Ammy Loyd, had talked her into moving here. She'd had psychic images of things that had happened or were going to happen since she was small. Her grandmother had given her a book belonging to her great, great grandmother Bridgett. It told that Bridgett had the same images and had been known as a sorceress in Ireland. The talents had passed down to Abby and her grandmother. Jake Kelly, a local policeman, had went to his friend Matt's house for dinner and met the most unusual woman. He was attracted to her at first, and when their hands touched something went through him. He felt they were destined to know each other better. The police force had been investigating some strange murders and he warned her about living alone out on the beach. She took him outside, and despite her petite stature, she had him on the ground with her foot at his neck before he could blink an eye. She was definitely stronger than she looked. It didn't take long to realize that she was somehow involved in the murders that were going on, and after he learned of her special sight he became more involved with her. IRISH MAGIC, by Anita Whiting, is an intriguing murder mystery that kept me enthralled from the very first page. The story is fast paced and even though you find out who the murderer is early on, the plot keeps you going to the very end. The bits of the paranormal with Bridgett's ghost and Abby's talent was a nice touch and kept my interest to the end. I recommend this author to any who like either the paranormal or mystery genres.
